This zig zag lace stitch pattern is very repetitious, and simpler than it looks. A smooth cotton blend yarn knits into a crisp and attractive fabric with zig-zag shaped eyelets.

Skill level: 3/4 skill-3

Diagram:

You’ll need multiple of 9 + 2 edge stitches. Repeat the pattern between the arrows until desired width is reached. Work the right side following the diagram. Purl all wrong side rows.

Row 2 (and every even row):  purl across

Row 5:  edge st, * k2, yo1, (sl 1 kwise, k nextst, psso), k5 * repeat from * to *, ed st
Row 7: edge st, * k3, yo1, (sl 1 kwise, k nextst, psso), k4 * repeat from * to *, ed st
Row 9: edge st,  * yo1, k3, yo1 (sl 1 kwise, k nextst, psso), k2, k2tog * repeat from * to *, edge st
Row 11:  edge st, * k7, k2tog, yo1* repeat from * to *, edge st
Row 13: edge st, * k6, k2tog, yo1, k1 * repeat from * to *, edge st
Row 15: edge st, * k5, k2tog, yo1, k2 * repeat from * to *, edge st
Follow the chart from rows 1 to 16, repeat until desired length is reached.
