Eyelet rib stitch

A simple but very rhythmic eyelet rib stitch pattern that elegantly suits a sweater or cardigan. Any weight yarn can be used.

Skill level: 2/4 skill-2

Diagram:

You’ll need multiple of 12 + 12 + 2 edge stitches. Repeat the pattern between the arrows until desired width is reached.
Work the right and the wrong side following the diagram. Right side rows (1, 3, etc.) are worked from right to left. Wrong side rows (2, 4, etc.) are worked from left to right.

Row 1: edge st, k2, (sl1 kwise, k next st, psso), yo, p2, * p2, yo, k2tog, k4, (sl1 kwise, k next st, psso), yo, p2; repeat from * to last 7 sts, p2, yo, k2tog, k2, edge st
Row 2: edge st, p3, yo, k2tog, k1, * k1, (sl1 kwise, k next st, psso), yo, p6, yo, k2tog, k1; repeat from * to last7 sts, k1, sl1 kwise, (k next st, psso), yo, p3, edge st
Repeat rows 1 through 2.
