Do the name and the color suggest melancholic mood? Not necessarily! I, personally, prefer a warm color for this magic autumn leaves knitting pattern. However, it will look stunning in “cool blue” or “snow white”. Suitable for any kind of tops and shawls.

Skill level: 3/4 skill-3

Diagram:

You’ll need multiple of 28 + 2 edge stitches.
Repeat the pattern between the arrows until desired width is reached.
Work the right side following the diagram. Work all stitches on the wrong side as they appear. Purl yarn over (YO) stitches.
